Rotarian Heather Reid (Sail into Life chair) making presentation to Sharon in appreciation of her excellent work.

Rotary’s Sail into Life program in Bunbury celebrated a memorable 2011-12 season with a huge morning tea at the Koombana Bay Sailing Club on May 3.

Sail into Life attracted more participants than ever before, thanks to the dedication of Project Officer, Sharon Kavanagh.

Sharon’s appointment was made possible due to grant funding from the City of Bunbury and with logistical support from Enable South West.  Sharon expanded Sail into Life to reach special education students, the MS Society, and Leukaemia Foundation amongst others.

The morning tea also showcased the latest dinghy in the Sail into Life fleet - a striking pink model funded through the generosity of Simcoa Operations.

The Sail into Life committee will be working to secure funding to ensure Sharon's great work continues into the next sailing season.
