We have only 30 places for the Simcoa Visit on Wednesday, 14 April 2021 at 515pm - First in, best dressed! RSVP by Wednesday, 7 April 2021 for catering purposes. Partners welcome! Fellow Rotarian and General Manager of Simcoa, David Miles is our host for this vocational visit and has organised a tour of the Silicon Manufacturing Facility followed by a BBQ dinner and drinks. Please be aware there are 2 flights of stairs to climb on the tour. Wear enclosed shoes and long pants (strictly no sandals or thongs). Meet at the main carpark at 515pm sharp. There is no bus for this event and carpooling is highly recommended. Directions: Drive north along Forrest Highway to Marriott Road on the right. Turn right onto Marriott Road and follow for approx 3.4kms and turn right at Kemerton Industrial Park. Please note, children must be 12 years or older to attend the tour. Join us for our Premier Awards Night on Wednesday, 12 May 2021 at 6pm to be held at the Epicure Training Restaurant, South West Institute of TAFE (in place of our weekly meeting). Dress: Formal Awards for Training Excellence this year are: George Barnes Award – Top Carpentry Student SBRC Hospitality Award – sponsored by the Rose Hotel John Coote Memorial Award – Top Mechanical Student Malcolm Robertson Community Award – Sponsored by SBRC Dinner will be a 3-course menu (2 choices per course) and include a free beverage on arrival (wine, beer or mocktail). Chef will have the menu ready for us to peruse before 22 April 2021. Please let Mike Hendry know if you have any special dietary requests. After your free beverage upon arrival drinks will be pay as you go. A tab for each table will be arranged and a nominated person per table must settle this account prior to leaving for the evening.
